It's been a while since I set up my tripod and camera, and had my remote timer in hand.
Two more photos will be coming from this shoot, I'm excited to post those :)

It's been crazy lately guys!
My landlord has decided to sell the property so I've been house/apartment searching like crazy. It's been a lot tougher than I thought due to the market in Calgary right now, everyone's looking for an apartment it seems and according to some real estate agents I've spoken to some people just go into an apartment building, fill out an application and put down the damage deposit that day without even looking at the place! So it's crazy out there! haha

I've also been going crazy trying to find a job for the Summer to do part time (I'm working with Phlearn still of course, just need another job to make ends meet). I've got a job with Safeway as a florist currently so that's one thing taken care of at least :)

Anyways, it's been hectic!!!

Taken in Stamford, New York. Jenna Petrone is the lovely model. <3
There's a funny story behind this shot! I visited Jenna in her hometown in Stamford, New York, and she took me on this beautiful hike. Opposite to this weird looking house is the most amazing view you could imagine, but I thought I would make use of this building for an interesting photo as well.
The clouds look pretty dang intense in the photo, and I promise it is not photoshopped (much)! As Jenna and I walked down the hill to head back it began to rain and a thunder and lightning storm came with it. By the time we got to the bottom of the hill (and her car) we were SOAKED as it was pouring by the time we got halfway there. LOL it was so worth it though (and probably one of the best days of the trip!)

Sorry I haven't been uploading much lately :(
I've been extremely busy. I'm still working with Phlearn, of course, doing interviews and weekend inspiration, but I need to find another job to make ends meet. I've been spending lots of time applying to jobs (and it paid off I have 3 interviews coming up for tomorrow and Monday!!) I've also been spending my time trying to find a new place to live as the landlord is selling the property that (Jeromy and) I currently live in.

Not complaining here or anything, more so just explaining what I've been doing with my time, and how I really don't have enough time to be keeping up with my photography as much as I would like to be.

It's kind of weird that I'm doing a 365 days project that I don't upload a photo to everyday, but I'm trying, and the title of "365 days" is more so a push for me to be taking photos more often than anything else. Without this project who knows how many photos I would have taken so far this year (maybe 10 lol) so I guess this is good for something

ha ha I need some cheering up I think.
This is the first photo I've edited in a while that I'm really happy with, it came a long way from the original shot!!! Let me know your thoughts guys!
And I'll have to give an update eventually on the new job and house search :)

Well, I finally convinced Jeromy to let me shoot him! So given the opportunity I decided to crack a bunch of eggs over his head! (or, Leo cracked a bunch of eggs over his head, thanks bud!)

I came up with this strange idea because when I first met Jeromy he HATED eggs, if he ate them it made him sick! But now, he loves eggs, and eats 8+ eggs a day! :P

It's a strange portrait but I love it ;D

Another photo taken of me in "Wreck City"
Basically Wreck City was an art project done by a group of artists. Eleven houses were scheduled to be demolished but before their demolition a group of artists turned the houses into interactive art pieces

This room was all set up with neon lights, and basically just a bunch of really trippy stuff!
It was awesome :)

I....I don't even know.
This was a picture taken of me in Calgary's event called "Wreck City". Basically 11 houses were scheduled to be demolished in Calgary, but before the demolition a group of artists turned all of the houses into interactive art pieces.

This part I'm standing in was a corner of a house with many pieces of plywood going in many different directions. While coming up with ways to edit this I came up with this idea of manipulating the wood so it would be merging out of the photograph.

It's a bit strange I know, but, experimenting is always fun, right?

Last week my best pal Leo, and our buddy Tyler went on a day trip to Drumheller (which is sometimes called the badlands)

While looking at all of the tourist-esque photos that I took I was trying to think, what can I possibly do to improve this photo?
I think the Mario bros is a vast improvement
Very appropriate considering the amount of hours Leo and I have played Mario together

This self portrait was taken in Chicago last Summer. Although it is a distant time, the feelings are still relevant. Last week was a verrrrrrry rough week, glad I got rid of all the negative energy for good by partying and dancing my butt off with great friends on Friday ;) ha ha

Sorry about my absence, again!
Although school is finished up now things have persisted to be crazy, busy, hectic, and even a little dramatic.

Everything is blown over now, and I now finally feel I have room to breathe, so here's a photo from a party I had at my house a little over a week ago.
The look of this image was accomplished from Leo's master chef skills of cooking up some glycerin and distilled water in a frying pan to make fog (we're too cheap for a fog machine)

Will be spending the next little while trying to find a job for the summer and preparing for my trip to New York, Maine and Boston in the middle of May!
I have many more photos to upload soon, can't wait to share!

For one of our classes we were given an assignment called "Fix Me" where we were given multiple self portraits of our teacher Hutch to manipulate as we please.

I thought the best route to go was to turn my teacher into Kernal Sanders.
Of course this isn't an incredibly amazing photo, but I hope you find it funny ;)
