Last Sunday morning I was up before first light to check out some new locations - utter fail! Sun came up a little too quick and killed the light! I need to push my self further away from the same old locations....

This culvert feeds it's way into Haverkampsee near to Schlangen - the lake is currently frozen over and I wanted to wade out into the middle to get a different angle on areas I could never frame when the lake is not frozen but I did not feel safe treading on the ice so instead battled through the under growth to capture this shot..

Rather than an extended DOF like you would normally shoot landscape I've used a much smaller DOF to highlight the fence but at the same time draw the eye on to the wind turbines - hope it's worked!

Apart from lifting the color temp to warm up the image this is almost SOOC...

First upload for 2012 - Happy new Year Folks!

I want to try a number of small projects this year and for the first one I shall be taking images of "Trees in black and white" - Took this image last night while driving the countryside looking for compositions...

Currently the weather here is terrible!

Today my self and Olli braved the very cold tempratures and made our away up in to the hills above Bad Lippspringe (Germany). Freezing would be a mild statement, it was bloody baltic. More than 40cm of snow made it difficult to park the car so the rest of the journey was made on foot - every time we made some photos we raced back to the car to warm up!

We only managed a few photos because our time was limited....

The above shot was taken from the road side, a damaged barbed wire fence ineed of repair...
