Seamus the snow dog. He's strong, fast, playful, goofy, clumsy, rambunctious and contemplative. After getting his butt kicked by his sister, Maggie, Seamus will sit outside in the yard looking at the sky and trees. He's a quirky one, but I think there's a lot going on in that furry head of his.

Impromptu Gallery

Hey folks. On the spur of the moment, I decided to put up a gallery of some of my pics in an office where I do graphics work. The wall was designated for just such an artistic expression so I thought I'd give it a go. I used black spray paint to make the "frames." The pics from left to right are: Sahar, Unsuspecting, His Father's Son, Sorry Folks, the Lincoln tunnel is closed (other in comments) and Christmas at the reservoir.

Now on a really creative note, jump on over to Ubermummy's stream and see her "24 shots in 24 hours" collection of photos (the complete set is in comments). This is an awesome collection of shots. She is talent personified. Seriously, go check her out. You won't be sorry.

I'm 4 months old now. My friend Lee came and brought his two friends Dallas and Leeloo with him for a visit. We had a great time playing together. Although, for some reason, Leeloo doesn't like it when I bite her tail. Dallas seemed to be ignoring me until I jumped on his back. Well that got him wound up and he chased me all over the house for ten minutes! it was fun but he's very fast and I had to work really hard to keep away from him.

I hope they come to visit again soon. I miss them already.

A Conversation With Big Head

This one was all Dallas' idea. I can't take any credit/blame for it. We were out on our usual quest to find something interesting to shoot when Dallas plopped himself right down in front of the Big Head. It's a sculpture sitting in a nearby school playground. (just what do they teach at this school?) He sat there as if he was having a conversation with the Big Head. He'd look at me occasionally as if asking, "you getting' all this, dude? This is great stuff." So, I thought I'd sit down and have a listen.

I can't say I agreed with it's ideology but it told the best dirty jokes. ;)

By the way, to all of you who asked about us weathering Irene, thank you! We're came out of it none the worse for wear.

My loyal sentry. I was making an adjustment when someone walked through the field behind me. Dallas kept a close watch but didn't utter a sound and sat solid in place without a flinch. Gotta love this pup!

Discussing Leeloo

No tail pulling? Really? Dad, she seems to think it's fun when I do that.

"NO tail pulling. If you had a tail, you'd understand."

Well, that's not exactly my fault, now is it?

"It isn't mine or hers, either. And no running her over. I don't care how funny she looks with her feet flying in the air, don't do it. She's a bit older now and we need to be careful with her."

She certainly doesn't act older. But okay. I promise.

Dallas is very careful with Leeloo. He does actually grab her tail when he chases her, but lets go of it quickly. Also, when he grabs her feet, he only does it enough to throw her off balance. They have a great time together.

This is Dallas' older brother, Sijan, from a different litter from Pacifico. (pronounced sigh • jon)

I used to think Dallas had a very fast tail wag (docked tails tend to wag much more quickly than full sized tails), but Sijan's little nub moves at lightening speed. That along with his attempts at talking—he practically sings to you—and you have a very animated Aussie. He's a total sweetheart. It's just hard to get a word in when he's feeling talkative.
