I hadn't tried my umbrella with animals before, so here's my first attempt. My dogs act like they have ADD so it was hard to get them to look up at me.

Random bullet points:
-Last night when I was taking my self portrait my AF motor on my 35mm f/2 died...
-I'm starting to like my umbrella quite a bit.
- mojo burnt the top of his nose on the BBQ last week and you can still see the nasty scab he's got.
-summer has been boring beyond belief, I think I should get a job lol. But most places don't want you to just work for the summer and then quit.
-I'm gonna get some herding lessons for mojo sometime soon.

580exii high camera right 1/4 power fired by cybersync triggers into a white reflective umbrella. Sun is setting camera right as well.

Got my 5d mk ii today, so I felt I had to take a picture of my dog to test it out. This is with my 85mm 1.8 since I'm still trying to sell a few lenses and get a 35L.

He loves attacking anything that shoots out water, he'll try to jump in the shower to get at the water. Today my dad was watering the lawn with a sprinkler and mojo went after it. I think the sprinkler got the best of him, especially once he hit the switch that makes it go full blast.

At the bottom of the frame you can slightly see flame wrestling with mojo. They entertain each other and flame helps me get some of mojo's energy out.

Got my 35mm f/2 back from canon service center! Paid $0.00 for them to repair it($9 to ship it though). Funny thing is I didn't even know it was under warranty(I bought it from adorama used and just happened to find the warranty card in a box when I was cleaning my room).

Something about the autofocus motor catching on the focus ring, it wouldn't autofocus and the MF ring was really resistant too.

Glad to have this baby back, one of my favorite little lenses.

This shot is two horizontal shots on top of each other, sort of like a vertical panorama. I really like the square-ish crop so you'll see more of these from me soon.( I also recently got into 6x6 film).

This place was fantastic, I wish it was closer to me-it's like an hour drive.

We took him to "performance dogs in action", a herding dog training facility, to see what his herding instincts were like. He was better than I expected. First the trainer has the sheep following her, and she has a super long whip thing just to make sure the dog doesn't get too close, she had me get behind the sheep and I call mojo to come chase. He circled around and gathered them up. The only issue was he's not social enough so he was really cautious of the trainer and stressed about the situation. He'd do a lot better if I took him again.

After a long morning of chasing sheep mojo learned to swim. I stood on this mini-peninsula thing that goes across the pond(It's in this picture) and the trainer brought him to the other side and I called him across. After one doggy-paddle across where he had a really scared look on his face he decided it was fun and started jumping in after frisbees. I need to find a place like this closer to home!

My dad has this thin carpet-like material under the gas grill, well he trimmed the edges so they're round. Mojo attacks it and shakes his head like a beast lol.

All caught up on the uploading finally, I haven't missed a day yet but way too lazy to edit and upload every night, and sorry contacts for not commenting as often, I'll catch up soon.

Today was mojo's birthday, 1 year old! No longer a little puppy, but always a little puppy to me lol. Heck we still call our 12 year old "puppy" from time to time, not sure why though.

I wish I had one of those annoying "happy birthday" hats for him to wear, but nope :(, it's ok I'm sure he appreciates it.

Just used my reflector here, camera left, with the sun providing nice hair-light, mojo is still a terrible subject control-wise, would much rather find things to chase or eat.

He was chewing on a section of broken hose that my dad hit with the lawnmower a long time ago. Had to take it from him though, because he started tearing it up too much :P

[Anyway, sorry contacts for not commenting as much as usual, I've just been bored. Still taking pictures every day but not as inspired as usual. I'm planning a trip though, can't decide between SF or yosemite.]

Still just playing around with photoshop here, not sure how much I like this editing now that I look at it again. I'll play around with it some more tomorrow.

It was hard getting mojo to stand still, like usual. I teased him with a stick to get him to look at me instead of chasing butterflies and such.

He's not wearing the cone now by the way(he's sleeping next to me), it was just after we put some aloe on his burn. It's healing pretty nicely.

Oh yeah and Happy fathers day fathers! We didn't really do anything special around here, just another BBQ with my dad.

This is flame, she's old(not as old as jenny though) and has arthritis but she still runs after the ball every day. It keeps her somewhat sane. Then she crashes most of the day in this comfortable bed of hers lol.

Mojo was barking in her ear when I took this. So she's got that sad "leave me alone" look. You can sorta see my hand in her eye reflection as I was trying to get her to look up.

Today mojo got his first experience with water, other than the bathtub. He wasn't really sure what to do so he tried to splash all of the water out of the pool. He got almost half of it out in an hour haha. He was pretty tired afterwards.

Mojo kept blowing bubbles in the water. When I take him to some place where the water is deeper hopefully he doesn't drown himself by trying to blow bubbles lol.
