A different day? Yes. A different point of view? Yes. A different drop of nectar? Yes. A different insect? ... most likely. Poorer quality? Yes. Any less amazing? Not in my opinion. Especially since my image, squatting next to the flowers, is reflected in that tiny drop of nectar.

Intimate With Crocus

We have many of these Giant Crocus naturalized in our lawn. After all winter they are a feast for the eyes and give a lift to the soul. The one dissapointment...they last so fleetingly, especially if the rain is heavy or the winds are strong...as they have been for the last few days. My pictures of these number almost as many as the flowers themselves so it's hard to make a choice as to which ones to upload.
