Taal lake, as seen from a resort in Tagaytay

Taal Lake is a freshwater lake in the province of Batangas, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. (Tagaytay itself lies in the province Cavite)
The lake fills Taal Caldera, a large volcanic caldera formed by very large eruptions between 500,000 and 100,000 years ago. It is the country's third largest lake after Laguna de Bay and Lake Lanao.
Volcano Island, the location of Taal Volcano's historical eruptions and responsible for the lake's sulfuric content, lies near the center of the lake. There is a crater lake on Volcano Island, which is the world's largest lake on an island (Volcano Island) in a lake (Taal Lake) on an island (Luzon). Known as the Main Crater Lake, it contains its own small island, Vulcan Point.

The Taal Lake basin was first declared as a national park, the Taal Volcano National Park
Because the lake was until recently connected to the sea, it is home to many endemic species that have evolved and adapted to the desalination of the lake's waters. The lake has a freshwater-adapted population of trevally, Caranx ignobilis. These fishes, also found in the Pansipit River, are locally called maliputo. Its most popular endemic species is the overharvested Sardinella tawilis, a freshwater sardine. The two other endemic fish species in Taal Lake are the gobies Gnatholepis volcanus and Rhinogobius flavoventris.
Taal Lake is also home to one of the world's rarest sea snakes, Hydrophis semperi. This particular species is only one of two "true" sea snake species that are known to live entirely in freshwater
Taal lake now is overfished as you can see in some of my upload, the “little” things in the lake a fishcages.
Also many fish have died due to toxic sulfur .

Tourism:
Regular tours of the lake are available to tourists. After crossing the lake, visitors travel to the top of Volcano Island on horseback. During their trip up and down the mountain, visitors are treated to a stunning view of the lake and its surroundings. But since Taal Vulcano has erupted a few years ago, the story goes that it's not safe anymore, so I'm sorry, one time I have been up there, but it was in 2001, no pictures left from that.

A road in a forest and a traveller, all in the early morning

On the early morning, in a forest, I saw the magical light after a rainshower in the night.
This picture is taken in the Vrijenburgerbos in the Netherlands between Rotterdam and Barendrecht. I was not the only one on the road, as a vehicle moved fast in the far distance.
This one is for slider's sunday, because I've uplifted the light a bit.

Where I live there is many water, lakes and even a hill. Most of it is made by man, and the hill is also artificial. But the hill has a nice view, and the bridge was build by someone who just might had a little to drink. Joke only, I think the bridge is cool architecture.

Grožnjan

The village of Grožnjan is to be found in the northern part of Istria. It is the only place in Croatia with an Italian majority.

Today Grožnjan is the meeting point of young musicians from all over the world because the International Cultural Centre of Young Musicians has its seat here. Every year Grožnjan organizes music courses (violin, cello, viola, piano, organ, etc.), orchestra courses, ballet courses, recital, directing, video and sound recording and reproduction courses, seminars for architects, panel discussions about environmental protection and yoga courses. The area offers good opportunities for walking, cycling, hunting and speleology. A restaurant in Grožnjan offers Istrian specialities. During summer months concerts and music events are held almost every day. At the end of summer, the international art ex tempore is held.
Grožnjan is also the location of an annual jazz festival, attracting international musicians, such as Georgie Fame in 2007. In 2008 it won the European award for best small jazz festival. It is normally held for two weeks at the end of July and early August. From 2009 it will last for three weeks.
Many artists have there residence in Grožnjan
Grožnjan has a lot or tourist attractions that are making this place so special.It's home of many galeries and unique bars and places where tourists can enjoy their stay.

PHOTOGRAPHERS IMPRESSIONS:
Though Grožnjan is a very fine and lovely little village on top of a mountain, I personally went here more for the views over the landscape then the village it's self. Anyway, couldn't leave this place without showing at least one picture of the village of Grožnjan.
