I captchd the Ring called 22° halo.

Its one type of optical phenomenon, forming a circle 22° around the sun. It forms as sunlight is refracted in hexagonal ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.

A ring around the sun indicates that there might be precipitation within 12 to 24 hours. Cirrostratus clouds usually come before a warm front, which often brings precipitation. And YES, it rained that day in Tirupathi.

Cannon ball tree (Couroupita guianensis) flower: It is also called the nagalinga flower tree, botanically known as Aegle marmelos, are used to worship Lord Shiva. The nagalinga flower, some say, resembles a `Shiva Linga’ with a naga (snake) on top and linga in the centre and hence the name.

Smell of it is simply amazing!!

Yesterday, I was cleaning my wardrobe and saw these colored perfume bottles. Thought of making an HDR with them.

Some Gyan: You know, we humans have abt 3% genes related to smell. But, 300 out of about 1000 odour genes have been rendered functionless by mutations. Basically, Humans have traded smell for vision. More info in "Your inner fish -- Neil Shubin"

Mango (Mangifera indica) is the King of fruits. India is the largest producer and exporter of Mangoes in the world. The best thing to wait for, in summer, is Mango.

Its fruit and leaves are ritually used in many occasions in Asian countries. In Andhra, unripe mangoes are used on YUGADI...which is the New Year's Day for the people of the Deccan region of India.
