So I was walking on the streets of old town Dhaka, found this small barber salon with only one seat between the narrow spaces of two buildings and stopped for a picture. While I was changing my camera setting for a perfect exposure, curious people gathered around me. Remind you that we don’t have any shortage of curious people in Bangladesh. they are everywhere in your frame :P

A dream within A dream

this is one of those dreams when you see a face composes for split of a second and disappears again in the sand storm. that was the approach for this photo. 25 layers of textures were used in this picture, resulting a lot of different beautiful variations.

However, the model didnt like this picture, she screamed saying what have i done to her face.

its not done in conventional HDR processing, its not tone mapped either. everything was done in ACR and Photoshop.

sorry for being absent in flickr for a while, let me try to be regular from now. I am very particular about my framing. finding this location was bit tricky in very short time. i didnt have any makeup artist with me at that time. original makeup i asked for was a french harlot in vibrant colour. converting it to black and white was not so good, i added duo tone in it to compensate the texture on her face. this would be an example of indo-western style portrait.
