I am so attached to the "Green Room" in the Nolan House, that I figured it was time for me to branch out, which wasn't easy. The light and colors in the green room are so amazing, but I found the light in one of the upstairs rooms to be just as interesting...just different.

Today was a fun day. I had Bare Escentuals training, which is always so much fun! We have seminars twice a year to get up-to-date on the latest products, artistry and just to sort of "check in" with the company to find where things are moving. I really do love my job SO much, but training is always a good way to get more excited about what we're doing at BE - especially right before the holidays.

I was so surprised when Chastity, the woman who was leading the seminar, took a moment to tell everyone in the room about my work. I had no idea that she was following my 365 at all, so for her to take the time to talk about my work was really flattering to me. Good on 'ya, Chastity!

My work as a makeup artist for BE is so important to me, as is my photography, so to have a little moment where the two worlds collided was really nice. I thank God for little moments like that. Moments that remind me how fabulously blessed I am to not only have one job I love, but TWO.

Going to photograph a really sweet couple tomorrow. I have been so excited about this shoot for a few weeks because the couple I am shooting, both of them are artists, so I think they will be really fun and free. My job is made so much easier by people who "get" the process.

Okay, that was long-winded! I really miss Evan, so I guess I am feeling a little lonely tonight. Thank you, internet, for listening :)

If I know I am going to have a particularly harrowing day, I spend a little bit of extra time doing my makeup in the morning.

When I first became a makeup artist, I felt the need to go all out with my makeup when I was going to work. These days, though, I keep it pretty simple. I don't like to freak out my clients when I wear electric blue eyeshadow with hot pink eyeliner.

Today, I went a little crazy, but it's all good. It's like wearing warpaint...it gives me some sort of strange boost to my confidence.

If I had the time/means to travel the world, I would take a shot of myself jumping in front of all the great landmarks of the world.

I think the Great Wall would make for a particularly epic jump shot.

For now, it's withering cornfields.

For my good friend, Leila, who is letting me use her remote until my other one arrives...thank you! Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow...I have a really difficult time focusing my 50mm on myself without my remote, and that's really the only lens I like to use anymore. My 18-55 just makes me mad because of the quality...yeah...whine whine, I know. All is good, though!

Hola, Flickr! Vacation is over, so now is the part where I bombard you with a mass upload of vacation 365's. Luckily, I posted two 365 shots while I was away, so that helps some, but still...I hate mass uploads.

Anyway, I am back to the real world of putting makeup on people, and photographing anyone who will ask me to do so.

Wait, that isn't the "real world" is it?

I'm refreshed, and ready to get back to work, though!!!!

In other news, my numbering is SO screwed up as to what day I am on, so don't judge me.

I attracted a crowd today while taking my shot. A crowd of, what appeared to be, vagrants, but it could have been more of a bohemian/Rastafarian situation...I'm not entirely sure. Either way, we had a great time.

This is Evan's cat, Fat Cat, making his debut in my 365. I let him guide me on this, so here you have it - slightly out of focus, and far out of the frame.

Evan and I have a night of film scanning planned. I am SO excited! I have two rolls of color film to scan, and will let you guys know when I post them on the blog

All across the South, these beautiful small towns are disappearing. This was taken in Toomsboro, GA. A beautiful place, but disappearing so quickly.
