To that end, on Sunday, I left the house in the rain and arrived at the coast to find strong winds and a particularly feisty sea – with the waves crashing around me, and some pretty strong backwash I decided to try this shot. It was a remarkably calm and still morning with hardly a ripple on the sea. On Friday there was one of the most destructive storms in living memory. I really like this spot, and have photographed the same view many times, however, its only during the winter months that the sun rises behind the trees. I waited for the sun to peep over the crest of the hill and illuminate the stubbly field... at -5C it was a chilly, but wortwhile wait.<br /> <br /> Many thanks for following my uploads this week - every image in this series has been taken within in a few miles of home, in or around the Clyde Valley - sometimes it's good to explore your own doorstep.
