I just want to take a moment and thank you all for the nice compliments on Horizons. It has been a two and a half year journey through the landscapes of Southeast Wisconsin trying to take one good shot a day and share it with the world. My challenge to myself when I started was to do them all in vertical, which for the first 46 years of my life I hated taking. (yes, I was born with a camera in my hand! ) Last fall, after shooting nearly 250,000 exposures on my camera it finally died at a time that I couldn't afford a new one. I fully intended to end the series at that time. A camera was a luxury.... food, heat, paying bills....these were a necessity. But then my dear friend Leslie Weber Maj stepped up to the plate, at the same time my daughter Emily Koch and Aaron Kopec were devising a plan, to raise funds to put a camera back in my hands. I thought I was done. And now I realize I am just beginning. Thanks to those who pitched in, worked behind the scenes to raise the funds, thanks to those that like and share my work. Thanks for the comments that I do not even know how to respond to because they reach so deep down into my soul there are no words I can come up with to reply....so I respond with a dumb smiley face. LOL.... You see, I don't take these for me. Once I post what I shot I move on to whatever the next day brings. The next Horizon. The next adventure. You see, no matter what happens, no matter how crappy or great life is, the sun always comes up. And I will always be out there, hunting the next Horizon with wet feet and my Stetson hat. Thank you.
