The 100 observatory

The very first day without rainfall.. I went up to the financial towers 100th storey observatory however.. I did not realised it would be so smoggy up there..

To make matters worst.. the glass was so dirty.. This image looks fine on the web but i'm not too sure if it can hold up being printed large even though i tried my best to clean it up.. =(

On day 7, I had really great weather to shoot the Bund. I was quite relieved as the very next day I would be flying back..

This view taken from the Bund is definitely a must see. Having a hotel 5 mins walking distance away from it.. I simply had no excuse not to see this majestic scene every day!

So it was.. I spent 7 days of sunrise, some sunsets and afternoons here in rain, blazing sun and foggy pollution taking in whatever sights and feels this city would emit to me.

This photo was ironically on my last night here when there was clouds moving instead of a thick blanket of fog on top of the tips of the buildings.

There will be more to come obviously so stay tuned..

131 Fog City

Extremely heavy rains and Low clouds.. What a crazy combination for a unique cityscape view. Stepping up the level.. I did a 6 frame panorama with the 70-200 at 70mm. I had to increase the iso to 800 to maintain quick exposures to prevent too much cloud movement in between shots.

This image is 131 megapixels and took a long time to process. A sign that my computer is aging and growing slow.

I can't tell you how beautiful it is to see the details up close but if anyone ever wants to print this out large.. It'll be a sight to feast on!

Singapore Skyline

9 tile panorama shot at 85mm with canon 70-200 f4L IS. I normally dont shoot so telephoto for pano works but this scene seemed to just beg to be shot this way to showcase crazy micro details and its overall grand scale of Singapores ever growing skyline.

Im nobody in the photography world but I do try my best to get better with every shoot I do.

This simple image isnt so simple when you look at the nitty gritty. From planning of the composition to actually envisioning the end product. My style is not highly illustrative or perhaps I should say my style has gone pass the highly illustrative days. I'd prefer hyper realistic visions where time and space meet in a unision and thus what you see may be believed to be real.

Take this image for example the sky was a 10 minute long exposure at around 6pm but the city lights only come on at 7 or so.. In the end I had to wait an hour just to get the right light I needed. This does not take into account the actual processing of it which took me another 1 and a half hours. I would have never imagined doing so much work for an image when I first picked up my camera.. but in order for me to present my world to you.. it is a necessity.

I hope you like the image and my world.
