Exposition point, distance point "as is"
I was sitting outside the café near station Saint Lazar waiting and
yes, this was taken on the street before I tasted the café.

(Almost 7000 viewed it, 45 fav and 35 comments, I never dreamed while playing with point shoot exposition, outside a cafe, across Saint Lazar station, I would get so much interst with it!)

One of our firsts photo walks, it was 2004 décembre
I went there alone and wanted to express the books sold along the Seine in Paris's centre, differently then most of the photos did till then.

It is still one of my favourites, even if it got not much attention

Strolling with a collegue blogger and photographer in 20e Paris, suddenly...

Difficult to walk, but he continues to dress, go out, make his own buying his journal. Crossing with lots of care and slowly. This picture taken during a picture walk with a blog pot, was taken from far and very fast.

Nous nous sommes rencontrés, deux "blog"eurs pour nous connaitre et se promener dans un quartier populaire, le 20e de Paris. En même temps, prendre des photos.

Berlioz (Vincent) n'a pas pris beaucoup (il croyait qu'il ne devrait pas prendre les mêmes sujets que j'avais choisi et moi, je m'enthousiasmais pour beaucoup), mais j'ai vu plein des sujets intéressantes. Entre tous, ceci appercu et pris très rapidement saisisant le bon moment est ma préféré, et je vois, heureusement, aussi celui des autres.

J'admire le courage de ceux qui marchant difficilement, sortent malgré tout. (Et mon tour viendra bientot, je crains)

Six years have passed since and it is like I was in that moment when I suddenly has seen him from afar and decided: I have to take that, and pointed my camera. I do believe we have to size the moment, be prepared for it, and be decisive.

From 2006 almost 2000 other photographers ( some blog readers) have looked at it. Add to it 800 for the variation, each great in its own. The variation is a bit clipped and a bit more clear. Each has it's merits.

What a wonderful exposure for a moment, I wanted to show, an eveniment of an unknown old man that affected me, and looking at it today, still does.

That is the last portrait, taken in 2005 November.
I promised to come by and give him one or two at least

He was very pleased to see the images I took of him and also that I told him, his mouchtache becomes him a lot. He is a vegetable seller at market Poteau, 18e Paris. And I did go two month later and gave him the pictures and also one big, he was more then pleased with them.
