&lt;p&gt;9 Battalion, (Queen's Royal) Lancers&lt;br /&gt;

Lt Bennett was commissioned as a regular officer in the 9th (Queen's Royal) Lancers and served on the Western Front and in Germany during 1917 - 1919. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 1919 he retired to the Special Reserve but was subsequently recalled to command the Nottinghamshire Yeomanry. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Bennett served in the Middle East (Palestine, Persia and Iraq) from 1939 - 1943 during which time he was Mentioned in Despatches. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
From 1943, he served at the War Office in London and was invalided out of the service in 1946 with the rank of lieutenant colonel. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Lt Col Bennett suceeded to a baronetcy in 1945 and became a magistrate. He is buried in Brookwood Cemetery.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Nawab of Bahawalpur, aged 11, in 1915. In 1917, the Nawab donated £5,000 to the Punjab Aeroplane Fund, raised in the province for the purpose of providing aeroplanes for the British Army.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sadeq Mohammad Khan was born at Derawar in 1904 and became Nawab of Bahawalpur on the death of his father three years later. A Council of Regency, with Sir Rahim Bakhsh as its President, ruled on his behalf until 1924. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Nawab served as an officer with the Indian Army, fighting in the Third Anglo-Afghan War (1919) and commanding forces in the Middle East during the Second World War. &lt;br /&gt;
