Today: Energized.

I loved waking up this morning. I feel energized about creating. That said...I'm going to start a new series -- Family Book. I'm not sure where I'm going to take it...or where it will take me...but I'm excited about trying something new.

I stumbled upon this crazy cardinal while spending the morning in High Island, Texas -- a birding paradise. With migratory birds all about, it seems a bit strange that a cardinal (a local bird) would captivate my attention. But this little guy certainly did.

When I arrived at the woods, I first noticed our little red wacko jumping on a car's side mirror, jumping in front of the mirror, looking at himself, getting intrigued/agitated, jumping back on the mirror...and then repeating the entire course of events over and over and over again.

I left after about ten minutes of watching him. About an hour later I walked back out to my car, only to find our little friend still at it -- a bit obsessive/compulsive, no? It was then that I pulled out my camera and started shooting/filming.

I'm still not quite sure how to convert and compress, so this version doesn't look nearly as good at the larger version out of the camera. Hopefully, I'll have it all figured out by my next video post!
