As it's title states, this is a shot taken inside the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption on Madison Avenue in Covington, KY. The 1895 basilica has 82 stained-glass windows, including one of the largest stained-glass windows in the world.

I had the pleasure of participating in a photography exhibit coordinated by Play It Forward, a foundation started by Gary Burbank in Cincinnati, OH that helps local independent musicians in times of need and catstrophic circumstances. It was held at The Redmoor in Mt. Lookout, not far from downtown Cincinnati. The Black Owls performed live at the event and many people tuned out to help support what is really a great organization. For prints that sold, portions of the money went to the foundation as well. It was a fun event and I've been invited to return for the next one as well - and one of the bands I shoot was booked to play as well. Was a GREAT evening and can't wait to do it again!

These shots were each taken with the 5DII with a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 at ISOs from 3200-4000.

As the title states, this was a show at Mayday on Spring Grove Ave. in Cincinnati, OH. This is Ian and Jordan (l-r)
of Common Man Down. Tough, tough light meant ISO4000-5000 and f/2.0 and bigger. Definitely a challenge!

Blue Clouds at Sky Bridge

Viewing in the direction of the parking area on Sky Bridge in Red River Gorge.

This is a stitched image, 3 portrait-oriented frames left to right. Each one is an HDR piece created from 6 frames each. I guess that makes this an 18-frame piece. HDR's created first, then those were merged. A little contrast tweaking in PS, and final cropping.

Damn leaves wouldn't hold still while I was shooting.

Stupid leaves.
