I was attending my daughter's school variety show when I saw this yellow and purple iris in solitude behind a group of blue ones.

This is Loreley (or Lorelei) Iris.
(German equivalent of the sirens that lured Ulysses and his men in the Odyssey. The Loreley would perch on the cliffs of the Rhine river and sing sailors to their doom.)

Every Mother's day Albany City, the capital of New York state, celebrates Tulip Festival.
I'm just a few steps away from the event venue.
These pretty tulip variety is namesake of my dear sister Marilyn.
The petals are between 5-8 inches.

This piece I made for canvas print. (A private request)
I hope the noise and blur can add character.
Very sharp details in canvas looks like product advertisement tarpaulin I think.
What do you say?
I'm also avoiding those very painterly look.
At least I want to retain some photographic details.
