Late in the day, I realized today was the last day of the second week of the month, and I had taken no pictures all week! Luckily, Ronan and Christine had a successful day at their Obedience trial today, prompting us to do a quick photoshoot and give me something to post for the week! ;-)

Well, maybe Ronan didn't get first place (or even place for that matter), but he did get his first leg in Novice Rally Obedience today, and that makes him feel like a winner!

We took Sport and Thistle out for a 6 mile walk in Joseph Grant County Park. Along the way, Sport decided to take a break to admire the scenery.

Christine's mom has a big supply of almonds in the house, and the dogs have been getting more than their fair share. Here, Sport and Thistle are hoping that a few more will be coming their way shortly -- and, as a matter of fact, they did! ;-)

This is Rockie, one of my grandpuppies from Sport's first litter (Ronan and Thistle's half-brother). He comes to visit with us almost every week, but I realized he had yet to appear in my 365. Since time is running out, I decided today was the day!

Today was our day for spotting wildlife on our walk at Asilomar State Beach. These deer were hanging out in someone's yard when we walked north along the beach, and were still there a couple of hours later when we came back south.

We took the boys on a five mile hike in Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park, east of San Martin, CA. During one of our rest stops, I just happened to snap this picture of Ronan.

On sunny days, Ronan rarely ventures out without first donning one of his many hats, for fear of damaging his delicate complexion. Usually, he'll take his hat off before allowing me to take his pic (I think having it on embarrasses him for some reason), but today, I guess he didn't care who might see. Imagine my elation when I got home to discover the theme for today's Daily Dog Challenge was to take a picture of something "on top" of my dog!

We spent the night in Cannon Beach, OR, at The Inn at Cannon Beach -- very nice! First thing in the morning, we all went out to play on the beach. Here's Thistle doing his Crazy Dog impression, with Ronan in the background.

We were lucky enough to see a group of five whales passing through Monterey Bay while we were walking along Asilomar State Beach. This is a tiny crop of the original, but I like it because you can see a guy fishing from a small boat, oblivious to what's swimming behind him.
