The afternoon winds start to come in from off shore and the conditions are just right for these athletes of the water to practice there version of aerial gymnastics and kite boarding combined. The combination of wind to drive the kites and choppy water would normally be a problem. But this spot is protected from direct wind by a stretch of sandbar, well grass land realy. Which has the effect of giving good wind for the kite pulling them, and a slightly flatter chop to the water surface. But once they get going you can see the sort of jumps and turns that can be performed. Each year kite boarding seems to be getting more popular in Australia and, more and more people are giving it a go for the first time. The afternoon winds start to come in from off shore and the conditions are just right for these athletes of the water to practice there version of aerial gymnastics and kite boarding combined. The combination of wind to drive the kites and choppy water would normally be a problem. But this spot is protected from direct wind by a stretch of sandbar, well grass land realy. Which has the effect of giving good wind for the kite pulling them, and a slightly flatter chop to the water surface. But once they get going you can see the sort of jumps and turns that can be performed. Each year kite boarding seems to be getting more popular in Australia and, more and more people are giving it a go for the first time.
