I am very happy to introduce a new Wanderling I've made named Poppet. I have enjoyed working with her and her little world so much that I lost all track of time and the days ran away from me all too quickly. But here she is at long last and ready to find a new home.

A special place Poppet shares with her long time friend Fig. The tower of books has hidden drawers inside for Poppet to stash her trinkets and treasures. The chair and books are also removeable so Poppet can stand and stretch her legs now and again. ;)

Fairy Tales

The cover of the book of fairy tales that Poppet is reading is a miniature replica that I created from my own favorite childhood storybook which I have managed to hold onto since I was 4 years old. Filled with little surprises, Poppet's book even has the same tiny ring as mine stained on the front cover where I left my nightly glass of water before I climbed into bed. My children have both grown up with this beloved book as well and I thought it would be the perfect way for Poppet to take a little piece of me along with her to her new home. It does not contain the same stories as the original, but a treasury of new pages that Poppet chose herself.

Vivienne inspired this new crochet dress design in mohair and silk. The 'Bobbles and Bows' crochet dress is now retired. :)
