They would swoop in and dive fast, and tracking them was a little difficult with my normal focus setup. I like to use 1 or 9 points in AF-C. The rubber jog knobs both had issues (one fell out/off) and the battery door's rubber was coming off. It was just barely still covered by the 1 year warranty, and I had them tune the focus, and they tossed in a sensor cleaning. All covered. (I've also got a Fuji S5, D300s and a D4.). Most of the time I shoot with the D4, but I also regularlly bring a second body. For a long stretch it was the Fuji since it is nice for landscapes/hdrs. This weekend I took the D300 and shot the above w/ 500mm f/4. <br /> <br /> Having shot for a year or so with my first full frame camera, I've gotten so used to the huge eye peice, field of view and brightness. When switching back to a crop/DX body it is really amazing the difference. I actually have trouble seeing the "on screen" items and tracking focus on moving subjects. But the reach is worth it.
