I like painting faces from a photos and landscape from imagination................
I have my logics and schemes and fears & doubts .. . .. .
A live person might say, "hey, thanks for the unibrow, this dosn't looks like me." (in much nicer way, hopefully ).
But if a branch of the tree is a little off in your drawing or painting, the tree will say nothing, and in worst-case scenario, the tree might send you a humble telepathic message while you are asleep, that is, in your dream. I believe, thats how plants communicate, with each others, at least.................... :)

Anyhow, I painted this scene from imagination on a 11" x 14" stretched canvas in acrylic .....................

P.S: I will be off Flickr for a few weeks, but will check your awesome postings through my handheld devices ..................

I like this SP of Clyde, he reminds me of a mystical Gatekeeper, a gaurdian, in a faraway land of castles and dragons, (plus, I can't think of a Sci-fi scenario) ..............
So I thought, I should play with the above idea tonight........

Part of a bigger canvas and long ways to go with likeness and such, but hey, it's a start..........

The Dust Bowl (also called "black blizzards") was the name given to the Great Plains region devastated by drought in 1930s depression-ridden America.

The Dust Bowl, or the Dirty Thirties, was a period of severe dust storms, the worst man-made ecological disaster in American history....

For eight years dust blew on the southern plains. It came in a yellowish-brown haze from the South and in rolling walls of black from the North. The simplest acts of life — breathing, eating a meal, taking a walk — were no longer simple. Children wore dust masks to and from school, women hung wet sheets over windows in a futile attempt to stop the dirt, farmers watched helplessly as their crops blew away.

Today, I live in a area which was a part of the great dust bowl in the 30's. ..
