the brief opening sequence "the march of progress", is from hugh harmon's 1945 documentary on the bay area's interurban trolley plan. it was known as the key system and was considered a progressive idea in it's day, however in 1961 the transportation plan was abandon.

post processing was done in after effects, lightroom, streamclip, and imovie-hd (6 and 9). music: pleasure by richard durand & protoculture from the 2012 album richard durand vs. the world (bonus track version)

this time-lapse short film is dedicated to my close friend john. you know you rock dude!

a time-lapse of several locations from my december 19th 2012 photo-walk with eric dugan. it was shot in the evening over a period of about 4 hours in the financial district and union square area, (where everyone else in the city was busy shopping for christmas presents).*

eric dugan is a photographer from vallejo, california. his homepage at flickr - www.flickr.com/photos/58088144@N08/

*some liberties were taken with content to fill the gaps of segments that were impractical to shoot on the 19th. older footage was used to represent the trip we both made (in general), driving to and retuning home from the city.
