Hello there my Flickr friends!
Τhis is my third time which i have visited this spot and is called Tempi..
I took this shot on a bridge which passes from the opposite site and you can relax in a peaceful place!

Pinios river is the third longest river in Greece, running some 170km of land from the west to the east, until its journey ends at the Aegean sea.

To mention that my fioncee,friends and i had a great time there!
More pics are coming soon from our trip to Pelion volos and Thessaloniki!

Τhe celebration of August 6th.

Samos is a small island near the coast of Asia minor which has never experienced the turkish occupation.With experienced,brave leaders like Lykourgos Logothetis,the spunky and determined people of the island with the help of the Greek fleet repelled all attacks of the Turks.

1824 was a crucial year for Samos,but also the year of the great glory.
The battle of mycale is one of the biggest pages of the Greek revolution
The strong faith,heroism and strategic genius helped Samians fighters endure,resist and eventually remove the attack of the numerous Turkish fleet.
The island was not conquered and become a living example of faith and freedom,leaving us a heavy legacy.

The Successful outcome of the sea battle was attributed to divine intervention as it was one day before the Feast of the Transfiguration,to which the victory of the Greeks was dedicated.
That is why the official seal of Samos has the image of the Transfiguration and the inscription
''Chirst saved '' samos on the 6th of August 1824.
At the same time Lykourgos Logothetis constructed the church of the Transfiguration next to his castle.

The day is celebrated as national day in Samos.

Hello again my flickr friends..
This shot took place in front of Doryssa seaside resort..
Less than a month left for the peak season to begin, and everyone preparing to be ready to welcome the first visitors on the island..Wish everybody a prosperous season!

I haven't had a shot for a long time so i decided to go at the coast today :)
With my tripod and NDx2 hoya filters for my first attempt capturing silky smooth waters..
Nevertheless, soon realized that i need more stops on filters such a NDX9 or something,anyway hope you like the exposure here.

Following the pathway to the end point to the big Waterfall..
As i wrote in my previous pic, the path is very slippery and you must watch your steps.

I can't describe the sound of the water...

Welcome to my Waterfall series..
This part is shot just before Ampelos Village, in Samos island Greece.

Τhere is a path lined by trees which leads to the waterfall..
The path is very Slippery,wet and often steep,surrounded by sounds of falling waters..
The hiking (walkers) club in Samos visit often that place and the residents of the village have put some ropes, ans signs for guidance to the endpoint..
First time i been there,but something tells me to visit again and again..There is all you need to feel the beauty of Nature!!
