Over the weekend, I experienced for the first time ever, Shock Top Apple Wheat. This is a smooth and very flavorful beer. The apple taste takes center stage without being overpowering (i.e. hard cider)...Hands down my new favorite beer.

Testing out the 5D3's high ISO capabilities. This was shot in a living room with a large bay window, around 1PM (thus a generous portion of natural light was available). I'm pretty pleased with the minimal amount of noise in the photo (minimal NR was applied), especially compared to shots from my 60D at the same ISO level.

"Subject" is actually a ceramic candle holder depicting two hummingbirds helping themselves to a few flowers.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Our department at work had/is having a door decorating contest. Initially, I had no plans to participate due to my workload, but seeing as how everyone else was getting in on it, I figured, "Why not?"

I decided to recreate "Twas the Night Before Christmas," using props and anything else I could find. This is why Santa is particularly skinny and beady-eyed, haha. What you see above is an abridged version of what I printed and placed on my door (my door has 12 photos total).

Although the feel of "Twas..." may have been lost in the transition to twitter, the idea of "Santa Claus is coming to town" has definitely remained intact!
