I Got Lost In Intramuros...

Although my family used to hear mass in the Manila Cathedral every Sunday, the first time I've explored Intramuros extensively was when I was in my high school during one of our field trips. Since then, I found myself falling in love with the walled city. Every now and then, I would try to convince my friends to have Intramuros as the subject of their term papers and I would volunteer to tour them in Intramuros.

The Bureau of Immigration and Deportation is inside the Intramuros. I need to go there every once in a while. Last Friday, instead of taking a cab, I rode in one of the "padyaks". I wanted to hear mass in San Agustin, but it was closed (it was around 12.30 noon). Casa Manila is just right across San Agustin, so I went there instead. After which, amidst the glaring heat, I WALKED to the Manila Cathedral and heard mass there. The dark chapels inside still give me the creeps.
