And then Off-topic nagging....

Haven`t had much time to look at the changes made in flickr or thought about the philosophy behind it. But at first glance I know I don`t like them.

It`s hard to pick anything amongst the fireworks-firing of pictures spreaded all over my screen. Artistry and community-feelings have thrown to trash-can. Maybe Facebook-dealing of pics has driven over flickr. Maybe this is the new time and I have dropped from the train....

Still I believe nothing will not change their minds. Money talks. Saddest thing in this is that it`s really hard to follow friends pics. I don`t say that I would have been the best friend by commenting all good pics of Yours that should have been done...but now I am almost paralyzed with this new system.

I don`t honestly know if I will renew my account next time...even the free one. Have to think and try to learn this slow and terrible interface....

Flickr has been my diary of travels and shoe-box-of family-pics for years. And also follow-up-course of my school-english.

Luckily I have all pics stored at hard-disks, but I wouldn`t like to lose those handwritten diary marks and these english lessons either..

I have liked flickr all time that I have been a member until now...this is the first time I`m disappointed and angry....

European Roe Deer ( Capreolus capreolus ). 14.5.2013, Särkinärä, Tornio, Finland.

Tried all winter long help Roe Deers by keeping a feeding place behind our house in a little swamp. Deers didn`t visit there in the winter. Yesterday took feeding-box away and today there was this male eating food that has dropped from my box....just 20 meters from our terrace.

Unfortunately for this pic we have planted some roses there and dry branches were between camera and deer...

Arctic Puffin ( Fratercula arctica ). 5.4.2013, Hornøya, Norge.

Arctic Puffin has been one of the birds I have always wanted to see. There are actually not so many others. Lammergaier might be another. I am happy enough with familiar birds around my homeyard:). But anyway, visited Varanger Norge and Hornøya. A really marvellous and special place for birds and also for people living around there.

Found a pair of wagtails jumping in a big wood stack. Woods have been cutted away some weeks ago. Obviously they`ll be also transported away quite soon. I hope the pair will not start to build a nest and lay eggs before that or their job will be for vain...

There were some seals fishing in Vardö harbour. They rose up almost always with fish. It was just to wait one pop up close enough...

In the last pic seal swam away cos there was big boat coming towards it. I think I can almost sense it from seals eyes...

Pine Grosbeak ( Pinicola enucleator ). 6.4.2013, Kaamanen, Finland.

In northern Finland Pine Grosbeaks have learnt to eat from feedingplaces. This one is photographed in Neljän Tuulen Tupa`s yard. Stopped there for a snack while driving home from Norge. There`s also great food for humans and possibility to overnight. Recommended absolutely...

Snow reflects light better than any man-made-reflector....even Herring Gulls look white below...
