Conakry, Guinea. Kids take time from class at Tombo School to pose for a photograph. Tombo school has not been renovated since it was build some 35 years ago. Many of the ceilings have holes in them making it impossible to have class when it rains.

Conakry, Guinea. Students at Tombo School raise their hands to answer a question during class. The students at Tombo were very dedicated to learning but lack many basic necessities such as proper books. Their school has not been renovated since it was first built in the 70's and has mold and mildew growing on most of the walls. Many of the classrooms have ceilings with holes in them which makes it very difficult if it rains during class.
