This is one of those shots that everything went perfectly as planned!

This is my 6 Month old GodSon Lucas(Luke/Lukey). Even before we sat him down already setup the lighting. Only shot 20 really quick shots.

Ok, so this Stawars thing started when my sister got pregnant cause we were calling the baby while it was still in the stomach Luke Skywalker. So after that I really got into Darthvader, then Stormtroopers!

This is actually not my lightsaber, it's my 5month old Godson's. LOL.

4 Feet Diy Ring Light!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I was busy for two days building this, so I just shot with my iPhone. I was going to upload yesterday but no net, so oh well. :)

It actually took me 2 1/2 days ( 1/2 day just for aesthetic)

There were times I was getting really frustrated with loose threads in screws and stupid wiring! I think this is my hardest Diy Project so far.

Things I learned from this project.

1: Loose threads is a bitch!
2: Always buy extras
3: Paint first! (did mine last)
4. Buy extra electric cable
5. Picking up screws is a bitch!
6. Exact Measurement if your best friend
7. Always double check everything
8. Trying to fit a 4x4 wood in a small car is Hard!

Thought that I would do some still life shots today.

This is my very fast electric guitar, I got it I think 12years ago, when I was in Grade 7.

More about the lighting > I placed the guitar as far as I can from the background so I could make my BG black. The I put black cloth to block my mainlight from hitting my BG(flagging). Then CTB gel on the background with stofen omnibounce to make it circular.

This was the second serious shoot using my new lens, Nikon 24-70. And I can really see the difference between the Sigma(old lens) and this one. MORE EDITING! LOL.

This lens is super sharp that you see every bit of details(even the smallest dust in the Ferrari shoot). But I love it! Greatest lens ever!

Trying to practice some of my glamour skills. Model is Eve, she's also a flickr member. Had a great shoot with her.

Ferrari F430

One of the shots from our Ferrari shoot. Was thinking of different ways to shoot the Ferrari using the lights that we had, and this was one of the results.

We had 3 dslr's on a tripod(more cameras more angles, haha) and all were shooting long exposures. We swtiched places trying this technique and this was Sir Mat's try in firing the flashes. We could have actually done this with 1 flash, but we used two flashes so less recycle time.

First time trying to experiment with flour. Some things I learned from this is I need a bigger space when using flour, maybe shooting outdoors at night would do. And Use flash.

I was inspired by one of Dustn diaz's shot of his domo so I wanted to try the same thing.

I like to keep boxes of things that I buy, so these are all of the boxes that I've kept from my photogear.

I used plastic and those reflective car shades for the background to get me some bokeh.

We don't own an AF prime 85mm, the only thing we have is this old school 85mm 1.8Ai lens, which is the lens I used for this shot, so doing manual focusing was kinda hard.

Had a Starwars themed shoot, so I was able to use my helmets.

I was amazed by what my DIY 18” Beauty Dish + a diffusion screen that I took out from one of my softboxes can do.

I always like trying new stuffs, and with this shoot I got to try some of those fashion thinymajigs.(More photos to follow!)
