Going through images from this time of year in 2010, as one does, I found this one. It was such a magical morning I was so engrossed with the other photos at the time I missed processing this one, perhaps the one I'm most pleased with. Daneway Banks (in the foreground) is a nature reserve where the large blue butterfly has recently been re-introduced.

One more from home ground in the Glos Cotswolds. It's from November 2009, which I only now feel I have sufficient skill to do some justice in processing! The walk around the lower edge of Saltridge Wood is locally known to offer one of the best views of the Painswick Valley to be found.

Had a great morning in Slad Valley, Stroud the other day, Found some really stonking beeches! There was no wind, so I was able to take several exposures and hand blend for exposure later.

This was with the Nikon 14-24 mm 'fat boy' lens.

After assisting on Sarah Howard's Image Seen Workshop at the Pontneddfechan waterfalls recently I was able to pop back and take a few shots. This one (Ddwli Uchaf Falls) tested my waterproof boots beyond their limits and I also dropped all my filters in the water, but that's all part of the fun isn't it?

Lovely morning at the local Wiltshire Wildlife Trust nature reserve the other day. These are Snakeshead Fritillaries - the genuine wild version (at least as wild as they are in the UK - they may be an ages old introduction). I had to focus stack two shots even with the nikon 14-24 at f16 to get the dof. Also many thanks to Tony Kuyper's new Triple Play actions in the processing.
