From last year's trip to Assynt. I have not been able to get out in the hills much recently, but hopefully I'll be able to add some new shots to my catalog next weekend! If the weather permits of course..

This is from last year's field work trip to St. Kilda. Taken from Village Bay on Hirta, St Kilda,at high tide. During low tide a beautiful sandy beach reveals itself, and when it is sunny it looks very inviting to go for a swim..

This is a blend of two images: 17mm, F13, 15/25s. The long exposure was obtained using my new B+W ND106 which is perfect for these sorts of occasions when the ND110 would challenge my patience.

I sometimes wonder why I even use a zoom, when I very frequently only use it at is widest setting..

This is an oldie, which did not make the initial selection round. At first I was not entirely satisfied with the composition, with the Bass rock being smack bang in the center, but I decided it's silly to be constrained by compositional rules:-)

Another one from last Saturday. It started raining soon after sunrise, so I had to leave. Must visit this place again when the tide is slightly lower.

Another one from last weekend. I was not very convinced by the light that morning, and only took a couple of shots. In addition, there were two bloody tankers in all possible compositions. I have cloned them out. Is this accepted?

I decided it was time for some sunrise action this morning. It was a fairly nice sunrise actually, but headed home prematurely, as I had some problems with my shutter release. It had no problems locking up the mirror, but did not want to go in bulb mode. When I got I realised I had not put my camera back in bulb mode (when I put my ND filter back on), after checking the exposure in Manual mode. Next time I need to make time for some coffee before heading out....

I don't think this composition is as strong as the previous upload. Shot this while waiting for the tide to come in. There was no time to redo this shot when the conditions were better as the swell and waves were coming a bit too close to my taste. Let's hope there will be another opportunity...

Decided it was time from some sunrise action which is a lot more humane now that the days are getting shorter. Sunrise was not extremely spectacular, and the sun was rising in the wrong spot for the compositions I had in mind. I had fun nonetheless..

On a side, since a few weeks I have started obsessing about sensor dust again. No matter how much i clean the sensor, or long I have been staring at/ working on a shot, dust spots seem to appear out of the blue. Time for a camera with some anti-dust shaking mechanism.

This is the last one from a series. it took me some time to actually sit down and clone out a tanker. On all the other shots I composed in such a way to hide the tanker behind the bridge, but I got overexcited here!

The tide was a bit higher than on the last uploads, and I think that they all have their own charm.
