Indoor photo of the Saudi Arabia Pavilion for Shanghai World Expo 2010, a combine effort of Chinese and Saudi designers. Saudi Arabia spent $164 million on its pavilion, which was the highest figure spent by one nation amongst of all visiting countries.
Expo 2010 is over but it is possible to visit the Saudi Arabia Pavillion onward.

Innenaufnahme im Pavillon von Saudi-Arabien auf der Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Der als "Mondschiff" bekannte Pavillon, in dessen Bau mehr als eine Milliarde Yuan investiert worden war, gehörte zu den beliebtesten Zielen während der Shanghaier Expo.

Zwar ist die Expo schon längst vorbei, aber der Pavillon ist weiter geöffnet.

Zwar kein Kratereinstieg wie bei Jules Verne, aber wenigstens ohne Weggabelungen.

Eye-catching and a masterpiece of modern technology, the dome is one of the main attractions of the Reichstag building. The figures alone are impressive – 23 metres high and 40 metres in diameter. A total of 800 metric tonnes of steel were used in the construction and the outer shell consists of 3000 square metres of glass. Architect: Sir Norman Foster

La cúpula del Reichstag (en alemán Reichstagsgebäude, abreviado Reichstag) est un golpe maestro del tecnología. Hasta junio de 2006, una cifra de 18 millones de personas ha acudido al Reichstag, ya sea para subir a la cúpula, seguir un debate o realizar la visita guiada. La cúpula que se añadió durante las reformas se ha convertido en una atracción turística de primer nivel y en un símbolo de la ciudad Berlin. Posee un diámetro de 40 metros y una altura de 23,5 y pesa 800 toneladas. Arquitecto británico Sir Norman Foster.

Rund 23 Meter hoch und 40 Meter breit - seit 1999 hat das Reichstagsgebäude in Berlin wieder eine Kuppel. Die Konstruktion von Architekt Sir Norman Foster ist aus Stahl und Glas. Die Kuppel ist öffentlich zugänglich und versorgt den Plenarsaal mit modernster Belichtungs- und Beleuchtungstechnik. Auf gegenläufigen Rampen, die eine für den Aufstieg, die andere für den Abstieg, gelangt man im Inneren der Kuppel auf eine Aussichtsplattform mit wunderschönen Rundblick über Berlin. Dafür wurde im Inneren der Kuppel ein Montagegerüst errichtet.

How many times I have asked myself how is the visual nature of a Global Player? Now, I know it because I have met one with his match-ball ;-)))))
I have photographed "Woody", the IKEA-man while playing with the earth. The light is coming from the bottom. Sure, I do some work in photoshop. I have had the picture since several days in my mind.

Ich habe mich ja schon oft gefragt, wie ein Global Player aussieht. Jetzt weiß ich jetzt, denn ich habe einen Global Player mit seinem Spielball getroffen und durfte beide sogar fotografieren ;-)
Das ist natürlich "Woody" von IKEA, der gerade ein bisschen mit der Erde spielt. Das Licht kommt von unten. Bilder entstehen bei mir zuerst im Kopf, die Umsetzung ist dann Nebensache.

In my opinion the construction is crazy and exceptional. Everytime if I am in Berlin I visit the dome, especially in the night.

Ich mag die Reichstagskuppel und gehe, wenn ich in Berlin bin, immer wieder gerne dahin, besonders abends oder nachts. Die Rampen wippen so schön und der Ausblick auf die Regierungsgebäude und die Stadt ist grandios. Ich finde die Konstruktion aus Glas und Stahl irre und außergewöhnlich.

Die Mitte der Nacht ist der Anfang des Tages...

'You spin me right round baby right round'. Thats a song from 'Dead or alive', I think. The picture is a water drop with effects on a cd-record.

'You spin me right round baby right round' ist ein Auszug aus einem Song, von 'Dead or alive', wenn ich das recht in Erinnerung habe. Das Foto zeigt einen Wassertropfen auf einer CD mit Lichtrefexionen. Ich finde es klasse, wenn der Foto die Lichtreflexionen, die das menschliche Auge sieht, festhält.
