Faroese Football in Vodafonedeildin - FC Suduroy - NSÍ Runavík 1-1, 19 September 2010

I forgot to load the batteries before the football match today, so I could only take these two photos of todays match in Vodafonedeildin (the Faroese Premier League). NSÍ was number 1 in Vodafonedeildin before the match, and now after the match they are still number one with 42 points after 22 matches, but HB Tórshavn is only one point behind them with 41 points. FC Suðuroy was number 9 of 10 teams in Vodafonedeildin before this match. After the match they became number 8 for a few hours only, because B71 played their match two hours later, but they won, so now B71 Sandoy has 21 points and FC Suðuroy has 18 points. There are 5 more matches to play, so it is quite exciting bot in the top and in the bottom of the best Faroese division. Two teams will be relegated to the second best division.

Christian Høgni Jacobsen scored the goal for NSÍ today. He scored after 10 minutes. Mamuka Toronjadze scored for FC Suðuroy after 45 minutes, just before the first half ended. It was Mamuka's goal number 6 for FC Suðuroy. Christian Høgni Jacobsen scored his goal number 16 for NSÍ this season. He is the second most scoring player in Vodafonedeildin (the best Faroese football division). Christian Høgni Jacobsen is the captain of his team and he is also one of the players of the national Faroe Islands football team.
