Loved mslil65's photos of all the lunches she made her son, so I've decided to do the same since I always seem to fall into the same ol' lunch routine, which my daughter said is boring! So here goes using some of her lunch ideas - hoping Holly likes it!
1 oz. turkey pepperoni - 70 calories
1 oz. philly cream cheese 1/3 less fat - 70 calories
3 whole wheat ritz crackers - 42 calories
1 oz. philly cream cheese 1/3 less fat with crushed pineapple - 80 calories
1 mini quacker chewy bar - 60 calories, 5 blueberries 3 grapes and 1 strawberry - 35 calories
1/2 cup organic snack mix - 65 calories
1 banana - 100 calories.
Snack calories = 100
Lunch calories = 422

My daughter wanted a sleepover cake, so this is it! The girls had fun trying to figure out which one was them. The blonde and black haired ones were easy since there was only one blonde and one blacked haired girl at the party. LOL. Thanks Cakechef for the inspiration. BTW, had a devil of a time with the cream cheese icing. Could not get it smooth for the LIFE of me!

First time decorating with a non-crusting BC. I loved it for icing the cake. It was much easier to smooth than I thought, and much faster to get smooth. Making flowers with it tho, was a bit more challenging. It wasn't real thick so the shapes didn't hold very well. Tried to make roses, and they ended up looking like a big glob of BC. Next time I'll add less liquid.

Experimenting with some new recipes. First time making ganache. I let it chill for 3 hours (the recipe I had said "chill for several hours). I'm glad I pulled it out when I did...it was way too thick and I had to reheat it it to soften it a bit so I could pipe it. Is there a trick?

It's been nearly a year since I made a cake, let alone making sugarpaste figures. This little lady took me 3 hours...I think she came out okay considering it's been forever since I've made one. I see my flaws, and God knows there are more than the eye can see, but overall, I'm pretty pleased with her. Cake is due on Saturday. Can't wait for the finished product.

Daughter's room: paint colors: light pink (top), dark pink (chair rail border and stripes), purple (stripes) and green (stripes and dots). Still need to do the valances, which will be purple with the green dots.

Main Floor Bathroom - Safari/Jungle Theme, colors: Tan (paint), leopard print (valance), burgandy/reds (accents). New switchplates!! I LOVE THEM!!!
