Captured near the Ocean Park, Hong Kong. 300 mm Tele. Back light from the sun.

Photo modified to enhance the dreamy and misty effects of Spring.

The little bird (相思 Oriental White Eyes or Zosterops palpebrosus ) sang beautiful notes up in the Cotton Trees and drank honey in the big red flowers
This scenery notified people that Spring had arrived.

Lake Macquarie Sunrise

Captured at sunrise, at Lake Macquarie.

It is located north of Sydney, between Sydney and Newcastle at the east coast of New South Wales, Australia.

The sceneries of the Lake were spectacular. Thanks for the people and the Australian governement for their contributions in maintaining the natural environment in the Lake areas. The Lake is the biggest salted water lake in the Southern Hemisphere.

A cool windy evening at Kemi

Captured in the frozen harbour of Kemi, Finland south around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The sun was setting already in winter time.

The harbor was frozen, covered with thick ice sheets.

High ISO, slow shutter speed.

Captured at dawn, at Lake Macquarie. The Lake is the biggest salted water lake in the Southern Hemisphere.
It is situated north of Sydney, between Sydney and Newcastle at the east coast of New South Wales, Australia.
It was 30 + degrees C at the day time, while most places in the northern hemisphere were still cool.

Captured in a cool night, minus 20 degrees C at the hill slope looking down to the Town centre of Saariselkae, Finland.

We were lucky that the sky was just clear after a snow storm.

The City is inside the artic circle. 18 hours are dark during winter.

Tripods, long exposures.........icy cold hands and feet ......... prepare for the dead battery .......

Captured in a chilly night, minus 20 degrees C. at the City of Rovaniemi, Finland north.

The City is located directly on the artic circle, line of latitude being 66° 34’ North. It is the heart of Lapland. Rovaniemi is also said to be the home of Santa Claus.

Aerial capture of the Altai Mountain ranges, Mongolia.

The mountain ranges stretched approximately 2,000 km from the West Siberian Plain to the Gobi Desert in Central Asia. The mountain ranges border Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazak.

The jagged mountain ridges, whose name derives from the Turkic-Mongolian altan, meaning "golden," separate the waters of rivers and lakes.

Icy Water Fall behind the Mist...

Captured in an icy day in one of the water falls in the Plitvice Lakes National Park., of Croatia.

The paths were covered by slippery ice and mud. Tripods were not possible for the paths were too narrowed.

Plitvice Lakes National Park is formed by a cluster of sixteen lakes near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The blue color was enhanced to high light the icy blue and coolness of the scenery.

The path was covered by slippery ice and mud. Tripods were not possible for the path was too narrowed. To take this picture, all of us had to lean on each other to avoid camera shakes. (The cold winds made the hands shake as well)
