This beautiful castle, home of Prince Eugen of Savoyen (the Conqueror of the Turks) was built around 1715, abundant with Italian frescoes, one of the most beautiful buildings of its time. Nowadays houses distinguished exhibitions of famous artists like Gustav Klimt, a permanent art museum and around Christmas, a small but very intimate Christmas market! Btw, Belvedere means "beautiful sight" in Latin. Long time ago it was set on a hill where you could overlook Vienna.
