October 21st 1805 is one of the most famous dates in history. The Battle of Trafalgar and the most notorious naval victory ever. Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson died that day.

To celebrate the 250th birthday of Horatio Nelson Verite Gallery UK has published a selection of 13 limited edition photographs by Kilfeather taken at the Battle of Trafalgar re-enactment where over 50 nations from around the world celebrated the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. This celebration highlight was Europe's greatest ever firework display.

Trafalgar 200 included a review of the international fleet by Queen Elizabeth and the review along with the Battle of Trafalgar re-enactment will be fondly remembered by naval enthusiasts attending from the USA (USS Saipan), Japan, Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Korea and Canada to name just a few of the dozens of attending national navies.

Des Kilfeather pages on flickr.com include images from his highly acclaimed book Trafalgar 200 Through the Lens Queen Elizabeth II 80th Birthday Edition, 400 photographs on 178 pages. For UK and Ireland residents the book can be borrowed from Public Lending Library Service branches. Alternatively, and for international residents, the book 100% has been included by Google in their database and they make free previews available at:
