I swear... this year, I've got several pots of the most recalcitrant, non-photogenic petunias I've ever had! They seem to hate the camera and simply don't want any part of having their pictures taken. :/

'52 Weeks' project - Week 23 Theme: "Composites" [4th June - 10th June] -- Having a bit of fun with RAW and the Oly art filters to simulate an HDR-type photo. Seeing as how I can't figure out how to use any modern photo developing programs to save my natural life, (I use an *ANTIQUE* version of PaintShop Pro -- like, when it was still owned by JASC, ancient), this will have to do for this week.

'52 Weeks' project - Week 22 Theme: DON’T BE STUPID [5/28/13 – 6/03/13]

I was completely stumped on this week's theme, so here's a nice little depth of field shot. I guess I COULD make this somewhat theme-related by offering the fact that this is an ordinary household chair. Don't make a habit of standing on these - or other things not meant to be stood on - to reach high places. I stood on a chair once to clean our ceiling fan. The chair started to wobble, I lost my balance, fell and nearly broke my neck! Luck was with me that day and I was okay; no harm done. But they say that most accidents happen at or very close to home, so ... don't be stupid! ;)

I'm not quite sure what these blooms are, but they are pretty neat! The tree is a small, scrappy little "understory" tree resembling a crabapple. Maybe it's a flowering crab?

This old tree has stood near the shoreline for a long time and weathered many nasty storms. It's a survivor for sure!

This short novena to Saint Jude and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is traditionally prayed nine times per day (all at once or spread throughout the day) for nine days.
