I've rebuilt my mini cam-rig and I'm happy to say that the MK2 version is way more stabilized; allowing for a less shaky viewing experience. :) A full suspension downhill monster bike AKA Santa Cruz V-10 also helps! :P

A few days ago I got the urge to build a mini cam-rig out of some random parts and attach it to my cross country mountain bike. This video is the first test run for the rig, I tried to stabilize it as much as possible but you can only do so much with a full rigid bike setup. (No suspension)

I plan to do another video with a race spec, full suspension downhill Santa Cruz V-10 Floating Caliper bike Hopefully the rig and SD750 PowerShot will hold up to some different off road action! :D

As far as this trail sprint, I could definitely shave a solid 30 seconds off with properly inflated tires and a much more packed surface. It appears the city has done some trail maintenance a week ago and certain sections have a lot of soft gravel. You can see in the video where I dig in and lose a little traction here and there which slows me down a bit. I was maintaining an average speed of 34km/h on this pass; usually go faster but I was keeping an eye on the camera and the rig half the time :P

I had this Beach Cruiser idea kicking around for over a year now and I've finally got around to doing it. These two photos are the product of patience, determination, and several hours of wrench time.

Check the first comment to see what it looked like before I did the restoration. Oh and at the time of these photos, the rear fender was drying inside my garage; a nice metallic brown.

All that's left to do is hang a pair of red fuzzy dice from the chrome seat springs...
