Its amazing where a two hour drive can take you. We ended up in pretty much the most North Western point of Massachusetts, at the foot of Mount Greylock. With a couple hours to spare before sunset, we threw on our hiking packs and began the ascent towards one of the many available vistas on the mountain. Hit the location just as the sun was setting over the distant hills and stood back and let the cameras capture the magic. Set up a 220 lumen torch behind the tree to get the back light and hit the foreground rocks quickly with my headlamp to bring out some details.
