I bought the sweets at a bulk food store for super cheap. It saddens me that i have to throw it out. I'd go into a sugar coma if I tried to eat even a quarter of it.

The sprinkles on the lips are real as well. It was Alyssa's idea and I thought it was a good one so we went with it. I have some shots without it that I may revisit later on.

I woke up early and spent two and a half hours riding through the Don Valley Parklands picking wild flowers for this shot. Brought home so many bugs. Don't worry though, I put them all back outside.

It took me too long to get back to this series and I've noticed a lot of blatant plagiarism which saddens me. On a very minute level it's flattering, but because I haven't finished the series it just enrages me more than anything to see people running with the idea and giving no credit what so ever.

I'm slowly making the transition to 500px. I just got an account two days ago. You can only upload 20 images a week, unless you have an "Awesome" account, which is equivalent to Flickr's Pro account (only much more expensive, poo!). Ah well. The site design is pretty sweet though. It's so easy to browse and find great work.

Check out some of the people I've favourited already, they're so freaking awesome!

Mitch is incredible. He carried me so many times up that hill in the freezing cold and slush. We were both covered in disgusting icy mud. You should've seen the looks we got when we stripped down and started rubbing ourselves with mud. Granted the park does face an elementary school... and the kids had just been let out for recess. We felt so dirty, and not just because of the mud. We meant to roll around to get a more rugged "been through shit" look but it was too painful. Mitch has been the one pushing me to try new things, like to break away from the limiting square crop, and experiment with the cinematic. When he's not round I don't feel like doing much of anything.

I want to keep with this. I think it will be really interesting to look back on when we're old and grey. I'm very intrigued by long term projects like this. You get to see photography at it's finest, documenting the little things we only notice when looking back. Like subtle lines on the faces, changes in style, mannerisms, and so on.

Cherry wallpaper! I was so excited when I found this. It's just dollar store stuff. And I'm pretty sure it's actually drawer liner BUT I put it on a wall and it becomes wallpaper, no? ;)

I prefer this wider version, so I've replaced it. Compositionally I think it's better because it gives you more room to breathe.

Alright, I guess this image stays up then. I personally like it but I really didn't expect so many people to like it as well. There's no snow here in Toronto. I don't think it'll snow this Christmas. I'm pretty sure it's my first Christmas in Canada without snow. It's 11C out today (Dec 15)!
