This is a sample piece using hand made prefelts that I've felted with the pupils of Gaelscoil, Carlow. I needed to work out the shrinkage rate before we start laying out the big wall hanging tomorrow. Because the prefelt has already started the shrinking process we won't need to lay out the landscape significantly larger than we want the finished piece to be. This naive sample has wool nepps plus linen, silk and milk protein fibres laid as embellishment on top of New Zealand merino, I also added a little embellishment to the reverse as you can see in the bottom right hand photo!
