Gates of the Forest

Okay, maybe a little over the top, but I kind of like the effect of adding a few filters post processing to bring out the light, enhance the autumn colors, and make the forest come alive....let me know what you think :-)

One more from last Saturday's foggy adventures....this group of trees caught my attention...their arching branches providing shelter from the misty morning and framing the foggy forest in the background. Best viewed large on black...just hit the letter "L"

One more from Saturday's foggy adventures before returning to my Southwest posts....this particular tree is always so colorful in the fall, and those colors were accentuated even more in the misty atmosphere. Took a shot similar to this one last year in the same spot and didn't notice until I was processing it that the bench must have been added sometime this year....so lonely, yet so inviting :-)

Another from this morning's adventures in the fog....the autumn colors were really accentuated by the rainy, dreary, foggy atmosphere.

Not sure what type of roses these are, but there is a whole stand of them near one of my favorite forested areas, and they really stood out in the misty, foggy morning. Hope I'm not boring you with my foggy adventures from Saturday :-)

Woke up this morning to fog and instead of pulling the covers up over my head, I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth, threw on some clothes, grabbed my camera gear, and enjoyed some foggy adventures :-)

Have to agree with this sentiment to a certain extent, but it has rained non-stop here all day in the midwest, and I would much rather have snow or fog if the weather is going to be "bad." Supposed to change over to snow later tonight & in to tomorrow morning, so perhaps we'll be able to get out for a few festive winter shots.
