Turns out jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is ridiculously fun!

I turned 18 on November 30th, but the jump was postponed a week because of a pair of storms. But man, was it worth the wait!

My favorite of the bunch. It was tough cramming all the functions in a little package, but the stabilizers rotate and the cannon closes. The missile fires when you pull the little "wheel" in the back, and because it's mounted at 45 degrees, it shoots ridiculously far.

Hi guys, sorry I haven't been posting lately. School and stuff have gotten in the way, and though I still find time to build, there's not a whole lot that's upload-worthy (yet).
On another note, I realized that I never shared my big school project from last year: a video documentary about the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation, a tank museum in the San Francisco Bay Area. With almost 300 restored military vehicles (many of them still driveable), it's the largest private collection in the world, and I highly recommend signing up for a tour if you're in the area. It's a fascinating place, and a great source of reference photos for MOCs.

My first MOC of the summer: the Helicarrier, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s floating/flying HQ from The Avengers!
The build started with the engines, and I judged scale from there. Aside from some tricky SNOTwork around the edges, the whole thing is really chunky and sturdy, so I might put it on CUUSOO. To my knowledge, this is the first Helicarrier MOC out there, so I'm challenging you guys to build a proper 3-foot-long UCS version!

Built a month or so before the announcement of the CUUSOO project, just for funzies. The "pixel art" on the face was a fun challenge.

Twelve Bricklink orders later, my Lego representation of the GetRobo logo is complete. I'm very satisfied with how it turned out.

I think I've learned more about SNOT building working on this project than anything else I've built to date. The cone shape of the robot's body, in particular, provided a unique challenge. This was also the first time I've worked with waterslide decals, and I'm impressed with the results.

This Space Ace pilot and his trusty Meteor have downed more Astro Marine gunships than he can count. Even though he's never been shot down, this pilot always carries a laser pistol for ground battles, just in case.
