Went to 1000 steps for some light painting. I like this place because nobody is around and there are no close external lights but those steps are slimy. Don't think I have ever been there when they weren't covered with water and slime in some parts.

Out on the Oregon Coast at Cape Arago. Went out hoping for an amazing sunset due to all the clouds but sadly I never got the lighting I was hoping for. I did find a great path right along the bluff top though.

Same shot at the other light house though I went B+W and focused on the wheat. Can't decided which one I like more, though I am leaning towards this one.

Went down to Thousand Steps today to try some beach shots. I should have looked at a tide chart, there really was not much beach. It did work out all right though because I like how the water looks in this shot.

I broke out my old Pentax MX and fired off a role of film to see if it still works. It does indeed. I feel like this camera helps me get back to basic which is nice, but I kept finding myself wishing I could change the ISO like I can on a DSLR.

These scans are weird though because blemishes keep showing up on the scan but the scanner and the print itself is clean, at least it looks that way to me. Maybe the scanner picks up things I can't see.

Went down to Ventura and competed in a Wet Wednesday race, we came in last :(

We started a couple minutes late and then on the way back in the wind totally died. I don't think we were sailing at that point as much as we were being pushed along by the current.

This one rock must have had hundreds of Sea Lions and Seals on it. There were also many other rocks around with sea lions also. It was amazing to hear them all barking, wonder what they were talking about.

Ah the first day of June. I have come to realize I am much more a Fall person, not a huge fan of heat. But summer does make it nice to go to the beach.
