The Sargent Special Collections Room houses local history materials and a special collection of Chinese books and artifacts. The collection of Chinese books and artifacts in this room were donated to the library by Clyde B. and Mary Sargent.

This chair, donated by the Sargents, sits just outside the Sargent Special Collections Room. It was crafted in the 19th century.
