Found this on a photo tour across Bremens Industry Harbor - an old car mounted on top of what seems to be an old ship diesel.
As my friend and HDR guru Trey Ratcliff puts it: Although HDR often may look surreal and unnatural, it often is what you saw when you took the photo. That's the case here.

HDR treatment in Photomatix Pro, color and sharpening in Niksoftware.

Another HDR->Infrared Filter image. This technique is growing on me - the result is so much more expressive than the color version.

Another shot I took at a hike in the natural reserve close to Bremen, Germany.

This photo is an experiment of combining HDR with the Infrared Film Effect, which creates stunning contrasts. HDR brings out more color and contrast, with Infrared Film then draws on for maximum effect.

A road after the rain, with another thunderstorm approaching. I took this on a 5 hour hike through our local nature reserve today. Although the image looks quite painterly, the HDR and color processing is rather subtle.

HDR from 5 exposures using Photomatix. Sharpening and color processing using Niksoftware.

I keep coming back to this place because to me this location has the perfect combination - sky, water, and the harbor industry plant in between. Sky, sun and wind paint the most dramatic pictures.

It's an edit of a shot I created long ago, yet this one's edited for being used as a wallpaper (e.g.: edges blurred for icon readability).
It's a macro shot of the front panel of an analog modular synthesizer, and it adds a great vintage tech look to your screen.

Took this on an amazing snowshoeing trip today. Nobody around us for miles, fresh snow - total bliss.

Created from a single exposure HDR mainly for bringing out the colors (it was overcast), then edited for contrast and sharpness with Niksoftware Color Effects and Sharpener Pro

I spontaneously pulled out the camera on a hike in the bavarian pre-alps when I saw these fascinating, painting-like layers of firs, snow, rocks and sky.

No editing except for polishing (denoising, b/w conversion, sharpening all with Nik Software) - it DID look like this.

Incredible sky over the US East Coast during our descent into Newark. I just had to pull out the iPhone. I'm also impressed with the quality of the image, although it did need some strong de-noising (Noiseware Professional), as well as contrast color range editing with Niksoftware.

Just returned from a trip to San Francisco. Managed to squeeze in an hour for photo shooting, and found some editing time on the plane, so I'll upload a series of HDR and other pics from my favorite city over the next few days.

This is a one-exposure HDR, taken with the Leica X1. Heavy Photomatix Pro and Niksoftware Color FX treatment.
