I had a fantastic week-end enjoying lovely weather, great company and an unsuspected discovery. As I was wrapping up a shoot and heading back home I decided to take a little detour. Lo and behold I found this little stream running just on the side of the road. I didn't need more to entice me.

I've heard of this creature for years. She hides in the forest and only manifests for the rare chosen ones. And then she disappears again. I felt privileged to witness such a rare occurrence. My heart fluttered, my palms were sweaty, my whole body was shaking. It took all I had in me (and my lens stabilisation system) to steady myself enough for this quick shot.
