I had so much fun last week end, taking the kind of shot I don't usually have the opportunity to do.... between showers I managed to get onto the railway line :)

I've no idea what this tiny chap is, dancing on a blade of grass .... He disappeared a moment later, I think he flew away...

We have a 100 gallon marine aquarium at home.... it's extremely difficult to photograph, I think because of the thickness of the glass (half an inch). Also, to the naked eye the light seems bright, but the camera says its not....... I've tried with every camera that's ever been in the house and until now I've never had anything worth showing. More kudos to the 50D and this lens I think!

I happened to be in Aberystwyth as the sun was setting so I nipped to South Beach - the water was quite rough and it was very refreshing :)

I haven't organised adapters for the Nikon for my filters so apologies for the overblown highlights in the sky.

We were lucky with the weather yesterday, no rain!! It was a 2 hour car journey to get to the village of Pontneddfechan, near Neath in South Wales, and heavy showers were forecast, but we took a gamble and it paid off. From the village there is a walk through a steep sided valley, dotted with waterfalls... it was lovely :)
