Thank you for this memorable and fun morning :).<br /> <br /> I think, it was sitting definitely too long untouched on my hard drive. Finally, a few days ago I decided to work on this image and I'm glad I did it :)<br /> <br /> Firstly, I took 5 vertical photos at 20mm; 1/3sec; f/14; ISO 100 with my Canon 50d and Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 and Hitech filters (2 stop HE and 3 stop SE). Then, corrected individual images in Lightroom and exported as tiff files for work in Photoshop, where I stitched those photos manually (auto feature didn't work for me at all) to achieve this 2:1 panorama. I was missing it quite a lot. So, I have managed to go out this morning to take some simple photos and enjoyed it very much :).<br /> <br /> I just realized that to take simple composition like this it takes quite a lot of things.<br /> <br /> To take/make this photo I/you have to (have):<br /> <br /> * dSLR camera such as Canon 50d (charged battery, formatted CF card)<br /> * wide angle lens such as Sigma 10-20mm<br /> * steady tripod (maintain it regularly – tighten skewers etc.)<br /> * cable release or/and remote control<br /> * bubble level<br /> * set of soft Lee grad filters (clean them one day ahead)<br /> * Lee adapter ring and filter holder<br /> * a car and petrol to drive to location (15min drive to location from my place for this instance)<br /> * get up early (at approx. 4.30am)<br /> * plan your shoot (check the weather, tide, sunrise time, location access etc.)<br /> * waterproof shoes or old snickers so you won’t worry if your feet get wet<br /> * PC and software<br /> * basic knowledge about photography such as exposure, color balance, auto bracketing etc<br /> * skills to work with RAW files (exposure,color balance, recovery,lens correction etc) and photoshop (levels,curves,color balance,noise reduction etc)<br /> * time to go to location and post process (this post took me quite some time as I’m still learning :)<br /> * something to drink (water and coffee is the best :)<br /> * good spirit <br /> * and have a lot of fun – it’s beautiful time of the day :)<br /> <br /> -- ALL this for this simple image .. and main reason that I took it was to test my new grad filters :) --<br /> <br /> Some of this „have to” are quite obvious, however you still have to remember about it.
